Review: Physicians Formula Concealer Twins 2-in-1 Correct and Cover Cream in Green/Light
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had redness around my nose and in between my eyebrows. Concealer and foundation work okay, but by the end of the day, the redness starts to peek on through. I finally decided to buy a green concealer to cancel out the redness. I needed something that was medium coverage and would last all day on my oily skin.
Physicians Formula Concealer Twins 2-in-1 Correct and Cover Cream – “Correct and conceal skin imperfections with Green/Light Concealer Twins 2-in-1 Correct & Cover Cream Concealer by Physicians Formula. Velvety, creamy formula’s green shade color-corrects red blemishes and scars. The Light shade blends green shade and any minor skin imperfections for a flawless look. Includes SPF 10 for sun protection. Hypoallergenic. Fragrance free. Non-comedogenic. Dermatologist recommended.”
When I went to Ulta, I was originally looking for the NYX Concealer Wand in Green but it wasn’t in stock. I decided to pick this up instead because it was also an affordable option. Plus, this also comes with a skin tone concealer which looked to be about my color. The consistency of both concealers are very creamy, smooth, and have decent coverage. I would say this is about a medium coverage. The green is easy to overdo so you have to be careful not to apply too much or else you’ll end up with noticeable green splotches on your face. Make sure to really blend out this concealer prior to applying a skin tone concealer over top. The light shade is a little too light for my skin tone but it does lean more yellow than pink so this works as a great highlight/brightener for me.
This concealer actually works pretty well. The green cancels out my redness very easily and the concealer is long-lasting. I applied this at 8am and by 6pm, there was barely any redness peeking through. Because my skin is very oily, especially around my nose, the redness shows through just a bit more around that area by the end of the day. However, this doesn’t look cakey or feel heavy at all. The light shade also works well, but I just found it to be too light for my undereye circles. Plus this creased very badly in that area so I would definitely not recommend this as an undereye concealer. The light works best as a brightener instead of a concealer for my skin tone. But if you are in the need of an affordable green concealer, check out Physicians Formula!
