Review: NARS NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette

NARS recently came out with the new limited edition NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette containing 15 eye shadows. This palette is GORGEOUS. It is a neutral palette made up of both shimmers and mattes. All of the shadows can be bought as singles except for one (Bad Behavior) which is limited edition. I knew that I HAD to have this palette when pictures were first released. This palette can be used for both classic daytime and smokey nighttime looks.

NARS NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette is said to be “A palette of 15 NARS signature eye shadow shades for creating unlimited artistic effects. Connect with captivating colors that will have all eyes following you. Ready to wear every day, every way—15 signature eye shadow shades every NARSissist adores.”

I truly am a sucker for limited edition makeup products, especially eyeshadow palettes. I was hesitant to purchase this because of how expensive it is for just another neutral-based eyeshadow palette, but I thought this looked too beautiful to not buy. And I’m glad I did because this palette does not disappoint. I was only a bit conflicted with two of the shadows (Madrague #1 and Madrague #2) because they seemed too stiff which made it difficult to work with. However, scraping off the top layers seemed to make the shadows apply easier.

These shadows are very buttery and apply smoothly. There was only minimal fallout using just the darkest shades. I was able to get a good 14-15 hours of wear without these shadows creasing (I used the Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer and NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk). I highly recommend this palette! It is very easy to work with because of the range of light neutrals, but there are also more intense colors, such as shimmery and metallic blacks and blues, to get a sexier nighttime look.
