Review: NYX Butter Lipsticks

NYX is quickly becoming my favorite drugstore brand. These Butter Lipsticks came out recently and I knew that I had to try some out. I have tried out a few of NYX’s matte lipsticks and thought they were beautiful. However, since my lips tend to get chapped and dry (especially during the winter), I thought that these lipsticks would be perfect for me!

NYX Butter Lipsticks are said to be “Full coverage lipsticks that feel like they melts onto the lips. This lightweight formula is non-sticky and deposits high impact color with just one stroke.”

These lipsticks come in 22 various shades which is pretty awesome. I was able to grab 6 of the Butter Lipsticks at my local Ulta. I have to say these are very pigmented and smell AMAZING. Honestly, they smell very sweet like sugar cookies. Even my boyfriend noticed and loved the smell.

The darker shades did apply more opaque after one or two swipes, but the lighter color needed a few more swipes for the full color to appear on my lips. The Butter Lipsticks lasted a pretty good amount of time on me. After about 5 hours, I noticed that the color started to fade but re-application of the product was very easy and did not flake up. I found that applying these lipsticks was incredibly easy and effortless. Not only did the color show up beautifully, but these also are very moisturizing. I highly recommend NYX Butter Lipsticks!
