Review: Stila Lip Glaze

Stila Color Me Glossy

As part of Stila’s Holiday collection, this Color Me Glossy Lip Glaze set was put out, which includes 9 lip glazes. Six out of the nine lip glazes are limited edition and the other three colors can be purchased at Sephora. I’m not really a big fan of lip glosses because they tend to be very sticky and fade quickly. However, I’ve heard good things about Stila lip glosses so I decided to give this a go.

Stila Lip Glaze is said to be “An ultra high-shine lip gloss in a nifty click pen. Stila’s ever-popular lip glaze is back in action with larger pens (twice …

Review: Revlon ColorStay Translucent Finishing Powder

Revlon Colostay Powder

I hate having to deal with my oily skin throughout the day. But I know that I can never leave the house without my oil-blotting sheets and a pressed powder. I’ve been using Rimmel Stay Matte powder for years, and while I do love it, I tend to drop it or destroy it somehow before ever finishing it. The Stay Matte packaging is pretty terrible, so I decided to pick this up instead.

Revlon ColorStay Finishing Powder – “Exclusive ColorStay jet-milled formula for ultra-fine, silkier texture helps to minimize shine and creates a fresh, …

Hourglass Dim Infusion Ambient Lighting Blush4

My Sephora finally stocked up on these new Ambient Lighting blushes from Hourglass. I’ve never tried any of the Ambient Lighting Powders, but this blush is supposed to have “Dim Light” as its base. I picked up this blush in the color “Dim Infusion,” which is a gorgeous corally-pink.

Stila Smudgeproof Eyeliner

I was able to order Stila’s Color Outside the Lines eyeliner set last month on clearance. This set came out as part of their holiday collection and, sadly, is out of stock. However, you can still order two of these Smudge Stick eyeliners separately in the colors Stingray and Lionfish.

Review: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

I love me some NYX lip products! I saw that NYX recently came out with some new colors of their Soft Matte Lip Creams and decided to snag some up. I already had this in Antwerp so I decided to swatch this one along with four of the new colors.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream is said to be “Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also …

Lorac Porefection Primer

I was able to try this out when I placed an online order to Ulta. I received a Deluxe sample of the Lorac POREfection primer which claims to mattify the skin and minimize pores. I was actually pretty excited to try this out because it supposedly is great for oily skin.

Lorac POREfection Mattifying Face Primer – “Prime, Prep and Perfect with POREfection Mattifying Face Primer. This oil, fragrance and paraben-free primer is infused with Salicylic Acid and antioxidants of Vitamins A, C and E to help skin appear healthy, youthful and radiant. …

I am always on the look out for the perfect finishing powder. I heard about Tarte’s Smooth Operator powder and thought that it would be amazing for my oily skin. Not only is this supposed to mattify, it also is expected to leave the skin with a soft, flawless finish.

How To: Winged Eyeliner

Here’s a tutorial on how I do my winged eyeliner. It honestly gets easier with practice. There are also different types of eyeliner you can use but I like using felt tip liquid liners. Today I am using the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Black.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Black

Begin by lining the upper lash line starting from the inner corner until about the middle of the eye. You can make the line as thin or as thick as you want.
