Skincare Review: The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream

The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream

Last month, I finally finished my Korres Wild Rose Instant Brightening Eye Treatment. I was actually looking forward to running out so I could try something new. I made a few purchases during The Body Shop’s 40% off sale (which is currently happening on their website) and knew that I had to have this. The Body Shop is my favorite skincare brand not only because their products are made with natural raw ingredients, but also because they are always having amazing sales! I got this for just under $11, which is a lot better than spending $38 for the Korres eye …

Skincare Review: Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream

The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream

I made some purchases during The Body Shop’s 40% off sale and decided to get this mattifying cream. I read tons of great reviews and was very excited to try this out. I have the other Seaweed Mattifying lotion but that one has SPF in it so I didn’t find it to be mattifying at all. I figured that because this contains no SPF, I would have better results in terms of oil control.

The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream is “An easily absorbed, non-clogging, oil-free, hydrating moisture cream. Leaves the skin feeling fresh, clean, soft and supple with a …

Review: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 70

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock

I think sunblock is essential in everyone’s skin care routine. It is hard to find products that contain SPF and won’t turn my face into an oil-slick. Usually moisturizers and foundations that contain SPF make me extremely greasy, even if they are described as having a “matte finish.” However, I have found a sunblock that not only takes care of UV ray protection, but also acts a bit like a foundation primer.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock is described as feeling “like you have nothing on, but offers broad-spectrum protection to …

Skincare Review: The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash & Lotion

The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Wash and Lotion

I’ve recently been breaking out like crazy and needed a solution ASAP! I started getting acne on my cheeks and all around my chin and felt like I had to constantly wear my Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo foundation, which is super full coverage and doesn’t feel too comfortable on the skin during the summer time. Because it has been getting warmer in beautiful Los Angeles, I think my normal moisturizer, The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion SPF 15, just isn’t cutting it anymore. I have heard great things about the Tea Tree line at The Body Shop and wanted to check out some of the products.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash is …

Skincare: Daytime Routine

Skincare - Daytime Routine3

I’ve gone into detail about my nighttime skincare routine so now I’ll describe how I prep my skin in the morning. Because I’m usually in a rush, I like to use a minimal amount of products. I just use a toner and moisturizer before I apply a primer and my makeup for the day. These products work very well for my oily, sensitive skin and I feel like my face has been getting a lot clearer and smoother this past month. These are the products I use for my daytime skincare routine.

I don’t like washing my face in the …

Skincare: Nighttime Routine

Skincare - Nighttime Routine8

For the past three weeks or so, I’ve changed up both my nighttime and daytime skincare routines and my skin has never felt and looked better! I was using products targeted towards acne-prone skin so both my cleanser and moisturizer contained salicylic acid. Even though I feel like salicylic acid helps to control oil, I feel like my skin was getting very dry in certain areas (mainly my cheeks and around my mouth). Now I usually don’t break out often, but I do get the occasional pimple here and there. I wouldn’t really describe my skin as being acne-prone but …
