FOTD: Nude Lips & Thick Liner/Lashes

FOTD - Nude lips, thick lashes and liner

So I’ve been completely obsessed with nude lips recently. Everyone has seen the beautiful Kylie Jenner rocking a full nude lip and I, of course, wanted to join in on the fun. Her lips look incredibly plump and full, which can be achieved by simply lining outside of your natural lip line. My lips are already pretty full so I line just a smidge outside of my natural lip line and straight across my cupid’s bow to create that plumper effect.

I did some research and found that Kylie uses MAC Whirl/Stripdown Lip Pencil and MAC Faux/Yash/Velvet Teddy Lipstick. I’m not completely certain on which shade she uses but I think those are pretty close matches. I do not have any of those products so instead I used NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Natural (filled in entire lips), NYX Butter Lipstick in Pops, and just a dab of NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu.

I did some pretty thick winged liner with my Kat Von D Ink Liner in Trooper. I am absolutely obsessed with this liquid liner. It is so easy to create both thin and thick lines with extreme precision. I also love tightlining with this liner since it’s waterproof!

I don’t really like wearing false lashes, especially when it’s hot outside. So instead, I found a new way to create long lashes that stay curled all day. I was looking at videos on Youtube and came across this video from Wayne Goss. I have been watching his videos for years and and love getting new tips from him. Not only do my lashes look so much longer (without the need for a great lengthening mascara), but my lashes stay curled ALL DAY! This video has changed the way I curl my lashes forever! I used Maybelline Full ‘N Soft Waterproof mascara and MUFE Smoky Extravagant mascara for my top lashes and L’oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes mascara (no primer) for my bottom lashes.

Again, I absolutely love this look. I think this is a great and easy look to wear for summer. All of the products I used can be purchased at either Sephora or Ulta.
