Review: Maybelline Full ‘N Soft Waterproof Mascara

Maybelline Full n Soft Mascara

I don’t know what took me so long to finally try this mascara! I’ve heard soooo many good things about it, but I like trying out mascaras that are new in the market. However, since this is thought of as being “holy grail” to many bloggers and Youtubers, I knew that I had to buy it.

Maybelline Full ‘N Soft Waterproof Mascara – “Builds full, healthy-looking lashes without the brittle feel, prevents loss of lashes with Quick Dissolve System that allows easy mascara removal, advanced thickening formula with Vitamin E helps to soften and nourish lashes, no clumps or globs, contact lens safe and hypoallergenic.”

I never really noticed this mascara at the drugstore because of how simple it looks. Nowadays, most mascara packaging is very colorful and vibrant with names like Butterfly and Colossal. Those are the types of mascaras that usually catch my eye. But now that I’ve tried this out, I think I may have to start looking for old, basic mascaras (excluding the original Maybelline Great Lash – that one was just plain awful). The wand is your basic fiber bristle mascara wand. It isn’t thin nor thick and is very easy to use. One of the first things I noticed was that when I pulled the mascara wand out from the tube, there was no clumps at the end of the wand at all. It seemed very clump-free and clean if that makes sense. It was also very black and had no scent to it at all.

I really enjoy using this mascara for everyday use. This provided a good amount of both volume and length. I was surprised that my lashes looked longer because this is described as only giving full-looking lashes. I also found this to be truly waterproof, which made it a bit difficult to remove at the end of the day. However, with most waterproof mascaras I usually lose a couple of eye lashes when trying to remove it, but I found that I lost no lashes when removing this mascara. This mascara made my lashes feel very soft, look very separated, and gave a nice feathery effect. The only con I can think of is that there was some smudging on my eyelid throughout the day that I had to constantly wipe away. However, I found that using a lash primer, such as the Loreal Double Extend mascara primer, helped control the smudging. I highly recommend this mascara!
