Review: Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream in Crush

Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream in Crush

Bite Beauty is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite lip product brands! I knew I had to have this lip cream when I first heard about it. Anything that is described as being both “matte” and “cream” in a lip product description is definitely being added to my collection.

Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream is described as “A cream-to-powder matte lip color that delivers an unprecedented 50 percent pigment dispersion. Through BITE’s proprietary small-batch process, this weightless formula fuses hand-milled edible butters with pure premium pigments to deliver BITE’s boldest coverage yet. Formulated with four times the average level of pigments, Cashmere Lip Cream imparts an intense, feather-light wash of color.”

I love how sleek and simple Bite’s packaging is. It reminds me a bit like NARS’s packaging. This lip cream comes with a doe-foot applicator, which I think makes this product easy to use and allows for precision. I got this in the shade “Crush,” which is described as a reddish coral. The texture is very creamy and just a tad bit thick but it is very easy to blend onto the lips. Because the applicator is very small and thin, I didn’t have to use a lip brush to apply this which I thought was amazing. This felt very comfortable on, but it wasn’t hydrating nor drying. This also did not emphasize any fine lines or dry patches on the lips, but I still recommend applying a lip balm beforehand.

Even though this is described as being “matte,” it took about 2 hours before the lip cream started to look matte. It went on very satiny and just a bit shiny but after a couple of hours it started to look more matte. However, I wouldn’t say this is completely matte. This lasted on my lips for a good 6 to 7 hours without any fading or bleeding. It also left a stain that lasted about an hour after it began to fade. However, eating will decrease the wear-time of these. This lip cream didn’t last as well as the Sephora Cream Lip Stains when eating, but I think Bite’s Lip Creams are more comfortable to wear. Even though this faded a bit after eating, it is very easy to re-apply throughout the day and does not look cakey on the lips when adding on more layers. I think Crush is very pretty for the spring time! It is such a beautiful corally, reddish orange shade and is extremely pigmented! After just one swipe, this left my lips so vibrant! I love that the color is very opaque because you don’t need to apply that much product for such an intense color. I highly recommend checking out these lip creams!
