Drugstore Favorites!

Drugstore Favorites

Anytime I enter a CVS, Walgreens, or Target, I always leave with some type of makeup product. Throughout the years, I’ve  found a few favorites from the drugstore that I cannot live without. Here is a list of makeup products that I feel should be in your collection:

Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Mineral Loose Powder – When I am in a rush, I tend to just throw on some powder, concealer, do my brows, and put on mascara before I head out the door. I feel like powder foundations are faster and easier to work with than liquid foundations. I was solely a Bare Minerals foundation user but then I found this great dupe. It honestly has the same amount of coverage and longevity as Bare Minerals powder but it is half the price for almost double the product! This also works great to set concealer. I use this in the color Buff Beige and it retails for $14.

Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer – This concealer is no joke! The coverage and longevity of this is ridiculous. It can cover zits and dark circles so easily, and you only need the tiniest amount! I’ve been using the same bottle for close to three years and it’s nowhere near done. This does tend to crease, however setting this with powder will help to reduce that. I use this in the color Medium and it retails for $6.

NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder – This is my favorite brow product ever. I can easily use a mix of both powders and do my brows in 2 minutes without using any other product. I love that this comes with both a spoolie and angled brush, two powders, and a wax. However, I never use the wax and prefer to use a brow gel instead. I use this in the color Taupe/Ash and it retails for $6.

E.L.F. Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara – Before I started using Anastasia’s Tinted Brow Gel, I used this clear brow gel by ELF to set my brows. This is very easy to use and does not make my eyebrows look wet. I love that this keeps my brows in place all day so I don’t have to worry about unruly brow hairs. After my tinted brow gel runs out, I will be back to using this. This retails for only $1!

Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum – Before I started using Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner, I used this eyeliner pretty much every single day for years. This liquid liner has a brush tip applicator which makes it incredibly easy to use. This lasts on me all day with absolutely no flaking, smudging, or fading. This is the eyeliner that got me into brush-style liquid liners. I use this in the color Ultra Black and it retails for $11.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil – I use this product to prime my eyelids before putting on any eyeshadow. I have heard that this creases on a lot of people but it works amazingly on me. I can solely use this eye pencil and rub it out to make my eyeshadow last all day with no creasing. I recommend to use an eyeshadow primer such as Lorac’s Behind the Scenes Eye Primer or Urban Decay Primer Potion before placing this eye pencil on top if you have any problems with creasing or dryness. However, I think because I have such oily eyelids, I can use this eye pencil without any other product before doing my eyeshadow. I use this in the color Milk and it retails for $4.50.

Wet N Wild Eyeshadow – This drugstore brand of eyeshadow is the best I’ve ever tried. The color pay-off and longevity of Wet N Wild eyeshadows are truly amazing. They work better than some high-end eyeshadows I’ve tried for just a fraction of the price! This brand has such a huge range of colors, and they are always coming out with new colors and collections. I highly HIGHLY recommend trying out Wet N Wild eyeshadows. My favorite palette is Comfort Zone, which includes 8 eyeshadows, and it retails for only $5. Rimmel Scandal Eyes Lycra Flex Mascara – This mascara is both volumizing and lengthening without smudging or flaking. This lasts all day on me and is very easy to use on both the top and bottom lashes. Check out a full review here! I use this in the color Extreme Black and it retails for $5.50.

N.Y.C. Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder – To contour my cheekbones, temples, jawline, and nose, I use this which is a light to medium brown color. I like that this isn’t too orange or grey. This applies very smoothly and does not show through as muddy at all. Best of all, this bronzer can be universally used no matter what skin tone you are! I use this in the color Sunny and it retails for $3.

Milani Baked Blush – I have tried a few Milani products and found that this brand has top-quality products for a low price. My favorite product is their Baked Blushes. These are nicely pigmented and long-lasting. They don’t emphasize any pores or cling to any dry patches. Check out a full review here! My favorite is in the color Luminoso and it retails for $8.50.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream – NYX is my ultimate drugstore brand. All of their products are extremely good quality and are incredibly cheap! These lip creams come in many colors and last a decent amount of time. They are very easy to use, especially for a mid-day touch-up. Check out a full review here! Two of my favorite everyday colors are Antwerp and Cannes and they retail for $6.
