NYX matte lipsticks are some of my favorites! Not only are they very pigmented and affordable, they also come in a wide range of colors (33 colors total). Some new colors came out recently and I decided to try out a few.
NYX Matte Lipsticks are said to be “highly pigmented, richly formulated and long-wearing. The formula glides on smoothly and stays put in a matte finish. From Pure Red to Nude, Matte Lipsticks are available in a variety of rich shades.”
I found that the quality of these lipsticks differ between the lighter, nude shades and the vibrant, darker shades. The lighter shades tend to emphasize lines and flakes on the lips while the darker shades do not. I also noticed the darker shades left a bit of a stain on the lips even after I washed them off. I was able to get a good 4 to 5 hours of wear with these (without eating) before I noticed any fading. I would suggest to line your lips before applying these lipsticks because I did notice some feathering.
For the price, NYX Matte Lipsticks work great! They are neither drying nor moisturizing, and I suggest to exfoliate the lips before applying to make these go on easier. I recommend picking a few of these up!
