How To: Winged Eyeliner

Here’s a tutorial on how I do my winged eyeliner. It honestly gets easier with practice. There are also different types of eyeliner you can use but I like using felt tip liquid liners. Today I am using the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Black.

Begin by lining the upper lash line starting from the inner corner until about the middle of the eye. You can make the line as thin or as thick as you want.

Line the rest of the upper lash line until you reach the outer corner.

Tightline the upper water line and make sure to fill in any gaps in between the lashes. I like to use the same eyeliner but you can use a waterproof pencil eyeliner or gel/cream liner. Tightlining is important because it will make your lashes appear fuller once mascara is applied.

Create a line angled slightly upwards from the outer corner until about a half inch. You can make the line as short or as long as you want depending on how long or short you want your wings to be.

Starting from the upper liner, draw a line downwards to connect to the end of the bottom liner.

Finally, fill in the space in between the connecting lines. And voila! Perfect winged eyeliner.
