First Post! How To: Eyebrows

Hello and welcome to my blog! Let’s jump right into it with a tutorial! I’ve struggled for years with my brows, and I know that it can be difficult to figure out what shape and products you should use to get some bangin’ eyebrows. This is what best works for me and I hope this will be helpful to those who struggle with creating the perfect brows.

Products Used:

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Brunette/Dark Brown

Coastal Scents Classic Natural Angled Liner Brush (BR-C-N18)

NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Taupe/Ash

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in CW04 Beige

Bare Minerals Max Coverage Concealer brush

Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel in Granite

Start with a clean brow and run a spoolie through it to give the brow its shape. I used the spoolie end of the Brow Wiz for this.

Next, I take the Brow Wiz and draw a line under the brow beginning at the inner portion to the end of the tail. Since I do not want my brows to look extremely harsh at the inner portion, I start the line just after where the inner brow begins. You also should keep in mind that drawing the line is giving the eyebrow its shape so if you do not have many hairs or if you just don’t like the shape of your brows, just fake it!

I then do the same thing to the top of the brow, again beginning just after where the inner brow begins.

Next, I run the same spoolie that I previously used through my brow to soften up the lines that I created.

Now time to fill this baby up! This is where I use the NYX Eyebrow cake powder. What I like about this product is that it comes with two shades, a lighter grey color and a dark brown. I use the lighter color to fill in the inner portion of my brow with the Coastal Scents angled brush. I do this using soft, short strokes and trying not to add tons of product.

I then mix the light grey and dark brown colors to fill in the rest of the brow. I focus mostly on the arch of the brow because this is where I want it to be the darkest. Again, it is easiest to use short strokes instead of just completely filling in the brow with product. I also make sure to taper out the brow when the tail begins.

Here I run the spoolie through the brow to soften it up. I do not want it to look too harsh.

If I am in a rush I usually skip this part, but to make your brows look clean and crisp, use concealer to clean up the edges of the brow. I used my Bare Minerals Max Coverage Concealer brush for this but any flat concealer brush will work.

I blend in the concealer with my finger and set with powder.

Finally, don’t forget to set your brows! I use my Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel but any brow gel will do just fine. I like using a tinted gel because I feel like it adds just a bit more color. I used to use the ELF clear brow gel but after running out, I wanted to try something new. I highly recommend this one. And now you got some fabulous eyebrows girl!
