Review: Bare Minerals Well Rested

Bare Minerals Concealer - Well Rested

The struggle with my dark circles continues. I’ve been noticing that my concealer and powder under my eyes has been fading throughout the day, and by the time I get home from work, my dark circles are too visible for my liking. I heard a lot of good things about Bare Minerals Concealer powder in the shade Well Rested which supposedly brightens the under eye area, making it very necessary for those of us with hideous dark circles. I was very excited to try this product out!

Bare Minerals Well Rested is said to be “A mineral-based …

Review: Palladio Rice Powder

Palladio Rice Powder

I heard a lot of good things about Palladio Rice Powder so I decided to try it out. I always want to find the perfect translucent setting powder that helps control oil without making me look cakey. Plus, this powder is only $5 so I thought that was an extremely great deal.

Palladio Rice Powder is said to be an “original ancient Chinese loose powder” that is “perfect for absorbing excess oils, highlighting your features, and setting your makeup.”

Even though I prefer to set my makeup with pressed powders because they …

Review: The Body Shop All In One Face Base

The Body Shop All In One Face Base3

During my recent trip to The Body Shop, the sales associate recommended that I try out this powder/foundation. She told me that this would be perfect for my oily skin because it leaves a matte finish. I was a bit hesitant to purchase a powder foundation because they tend to make me look cakey but I decided to try this out.

The Body Shop All In One Face Base is said to be “A foundation and powder in one neat compact. Use dry for a light matte finish or wet for high coverage. Perfect for on-the-go touch-ups. Matte finish. Velvety feel. No …

Drugstore Favorites!

Drugstore Favorites

Anytime I enter a CVS, Walgreens, or Target, I always leave with some type of makeup product. Throughout the years, I’ve  found a few favorites from the drugstore that I cannot live without. Here is a list of makeup products that I feel should be in your collection:

Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Mineral Loose Powder – When I am in a rush, I tend to just throw on some powder, concealer, do my brows, and put on mascara before I head out the door. I feel like powder foundations are faster and easier to work with than liquid foundations. I was solely a Bare Minerals foundation user but then I found this …

Review: Neutrogena Shine Control Powder

Neutrogena Shine Control Powder

I decided to exchange my Revlon ColorStay Finishing Powder for this powder by Neutrogena. It comes in one universal shade: Invisible 10. I prefer using colorless setting powders over a matching powder to my foundation color because I feel like that prevents my makeup from caking up.

Neutrogena Shine Control Powder – “Skin stays shine-free and fresh looking all day. Blends invisibly into skin for a flawless look that’s never overdone. Perfect for on-the-go touch ups. Won’t over dry skin or clog pores. Instantly Eliminates Shine for a Fresh Look That Lasts for 8 …

Review: Revlon ColorStay Translucent Finishing Powder

Revlon Colostay Powder

I hate having to deal with my oily skin throughout the day. But I know that I can never leave the house without my oil-blotting sheets and a pressed powder. I’ve been using Rimmel Stay Matte powder for years, and while I do love it, I tend to drop it or destroy it somehow before ever finishing it. The Stay Matte packaging is pretty terrible, so I decided to pick this up instead.

Revlon ColorStay Finishing Powder – “Exclusive ColorStay jet-milled formula for ultra-fine, silkier texture helps to minimize shine and creates a fresh, …

IMG_4636

I am always on the look out for the perfect finishing powder. I heard about Tarte’s Smooth Operator powder and thought that it would be amazing for my oily skin. Not only is this supposed to mattify, it also is expected to leave the skin with a soft, flawless finish.

Tarte Smooth Operator Micronized Clay Finishing Powder is said to be “A translucent, silky finishing powder with Amazonian clay that keeps makeup in place and diffuses imperfections. It mattifies skin by removing excess surface oil. This powder can even be used alone as a treatment to …
